Get More from Your GP Practice with the NHS App

The NHS App is the easiest way to access many of our online services, wherever and whenever it suits you. It's free, secure and available 24 hours a day, helping you manage your healthcare without needing to contact the practice.

With the NHS App, you can order repeat prescriptions, view your GP health record, check your test results (where available), book and manage appointments (where enabled), receive messages from the practice and access a range of NHS services—all from your smartphone, tablet or computer.

Are you having trouble sleeping?

Patients can use the self-referral link to register for a free Sleepstation Hub account and access tools, resources and support. This is also clearly signposted on our website and can be found by searching for Sleepstation and selecting the NHS options.

Inspiring the (very) young generation.

Morchard Bishop pre-school were learning about jobs. We were contacted by a parent and asked if a doctor would visit to give a short interactive talk. Dr Alex Degan, accompanied by Louise, who is a dispenser at our Cheriton Fitzpaine site, visited the school on the 24th March 2025. The children really enjoyed their visit from Dr Degan and had plenty of fun trying out the thermometers and oximeters. Thank you for inviting us to your school.

Proposed Merger of Amicus Health and Mid Devon Medical Practice

Amicus Health (Clare House, Tiverton and Bampton Surgeries) and Mid Devon Medical Practice (Witheridge, Morchard Bishop and Cheriton Fitzpaine Surgeries) are looking to work more closely together and are exploring options for a future merger. The partners of both practices already have a long history of working together to improve patient care. This feels like a natural progression for both practices to strengthen our position in continuing to provide high quality NHS care to our patients long into the future.

We are undertaking some engagement with our patients about the possibility of the merger and are seeking your views on this proposal. We invite you to complete a short survey to share your thoughts. You can complete the survey online or alternatively download and print the survey form using the links below. Please share your views by the closing date of 31 January 2024.

Shingles Vaccination

The shingles vaccine helps protect against shingles. It's recommended for people at higher risk from shingles, including all adults turning 65, those aged 70 to 79 and those aged 50 and over with a severely weakened immune system.

Cervical Smear Test Drop-in Service at Tiverton Hospital and the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital

Are you due a Cervical Smear test?

From 1st October 2019 in addition to seeing our Practice Nurses you have the option of attending a drop-in service at Tiverton Hospital on Wednesday evenings between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. You can also attend a drop in clinic held in Clinic 2, Centre for Women's Health, Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital every Tuesday between 6pm and 8pm and on Wednesday between 2pm and 4pm.
